Circa Sports Contest Updates, NFL Week 9 Two-Minute Drills by VSiN
“Derek Stevens and Mike Palm join Matt Youmans, Danielle Alvari and Tim Murray to share an update on the Circa contests and look ahead to the weekend football action. Plus, two minutes on each Week 9 NFL game as the crew shares their best bets.“
The Casino File: Circa opens adults-only resort/sportsbook in Las Vegas by Chuck Darrow of Bettors Insider
“While the 777-room hotel tower isn’t scheduled to open until late next month, the bi-level casino, sports book—hailed by Circa suits as the world’s largest such facility–and various food-and-drink outlets are operating, as is what will likely become Circa’s signature: Stadium Swim, which boasts six temperature-controlled pools, two swim-up bars and a 143-foot-by-40 foot, 14-million-megapixel LED screen on which guests can watch sporting events and other televised fare.“
Betting on college football: The only certainty is uncertainty by Rob Miech of Chicago Sun-Times
“During the 2019 college football season, one or two games a month shifted significantly from the Circa Sports opening line to game day, or within 24 hours of kickoff. Because of coronavirus questions and concerns that have made 2020 so murky, Circa operations director Mike Palm has watched the lines of several games a week move six to eight points.
‘It’s really an unprecedented time,’ Palm says. ‘It’s the uncertainty. There are two to three instances a week that we open with the wrong favorite, the way the line ends up. There is so much volatility to the market right now because of that uncertainty. I thought it was a bad thing at first, but it isn’t like we’ve been wrong on every one of those opening lines.’“
Las Vegas Advisor: Adults-only Circa resort opens downtown by Anthony Curtis of Honolulu Star-Advisor

“Circa, the 1.25-million-square-foot, Strip-style downtown adults-only (21 and over) megaresort opened as promised on Oct. 28, with a four-block line of guests greeted by Vegas Vickie in the lobby. The resort features what’s being touted as the ‘world’s largest sports book,’ a ‘pool amphitheater’ that features its own giant screen for airing sports, and several restaurants and bars, including the longest bar in Las Vegas on the main floor.“
Notable Bets: Steelers comeback completes parlay worth nearly $500K by David Purdum of ESPN
“LSU opened as a 22-point home underdog to Alabama at Circa Sports. The Tigers haven’t been this large of a home underdog since Oct. 26, 1991, vs. No. 1 Florida State.“
